Omega Seamaster Calibre Production Tables
Index/Shortcuts:
Adaptation by Chuck Maddox USA on 29 February 2004,
Last Revised: 13 June 2005, 13:25 GMT

In January of 2004 a new Omega Seamaster book started appearing on eBay. With the help Tywebb on the TimeZone Omega Forum, the ISBN number was determined and the book was found on Amazon.co.jp... This book which Bablefish and others translate as "The Omega seaming machine star story" is available via Amazon.co.jp and even with express shipping the cost is a reasonable at around $35. Inside the front cover is a slew of Calibre tables which are replicated below. I am presenting these tables under Fair Use provisions in the copyright code. I encourage all who are interested in Seamasters or use these tables to pick up a copy of the book. Even though it is in Japanese the pictures alone are worth it! If you have questions or corrections please contact the author...

Again, these tables are adaptations of the work The Omega seaming machine star story available via Amazon.co.jp. The original tables, and a beautiful book are © (no date given) by World photo press, Japan edited by Shozo Nakamura, Tadashi Noda. It is hosted under the terms of "fair use" in the Copyright code with provides for limited use of "several charts, graphs or illustrations", in research materials for non-profit, educational and/or personal use. I encourage everyone who has an interest in the topics at hand to purchase a copy of the book. However, due to the difficulties of reading Japanese it is natural that most people unused to Kangi would be reluctant to purchase a book they would have limited ability to read the text and less chance to translate via Babelfish or other translation methods. Thus I feel this limited adaptation of the work fits the conditions of Fair use as I've researched it. -- Chuck

P.S. Thanks for Chris K. for updating me on the 1000m's use of the c.1012. And thanks to Jeff Bagnall for pointing out a typo in one of the tables.
